Team Coaching
Working within a team doesn’t necessarily mean you are working as a team. Effective team working requires collaboration within the team, appreciation of each others' strengths, a shared purpose and approach, together with a deep understanding of the wider organisational context.
Team coaching involves the entire team working collaboratively over multiple sessions. Sessions are focused on specific outcomes, while also building awareness, clarity and improved connections to improve ongoing team effectiveness.
The team coaching process takes place in multiple sessions over 6-9 months depending on the scope and focus of your programme. Each team coaching programme is adapted to your specific needs and desired outcomes. It is suitable for all teams but particularly:
-
New teams.
-
Restructured teams.
-
Teams with intensive, specific delivery goals.
-
Teams that would benefit from greater collaboration and co-operation.
-
Teams that want to improve their performance and efficiency.
Outcomes from team coaching will vary depending on the situation and focus areas but include, for example:
-
Greater clarity and commitment to the team purpose, strategy and implementation approach, informed through collaborative co-development.
-
Improved interpersonal dynamics through stronger trust, mutual understanding and interpersonal awareness among team members.
-
Improved collaboration and creativity through creation of psychological safety.
-
More effective decision-making through constructive challenge and open dialogue.
-
Greater team resilience due to high mutual support working to collective goals.
